Hello, friends, and welcome back to The Sunday Post. Tonight, I have an update on Spider-Man: Brand New Day tickets, along with the latest on X-Men ‘97 season 2.
But first, a quick pod update! Robby is on a well-earned vacation right now, but still managed to join Kyle for a great little Marvelette-style pod about their favorite moments from the Multiverse Saga. That podcast is exclusive to FFW+ subscribers right now.
Speaking of FFW+, Kyle also has a solo podcast out via Screensaver covering the new Steven Spielberg movie Disclosure Day, and why it didn’t work for Kyle the way he had hoped. If you want to know why it did work for me, you can read my spoiler-free review here. Next week, Kyle will have his spoiler-free review of Silo season 3 out for Plus subscribers, as well.
Not a member of FFW+? Don’t worry because Kyle and Robby are back tomorrow with a catch-up style episode where they’ll cover Spider-Noir, Disclosure Day, Silo, Spider-Man, and share their spoiler-free preview of X-Men ‘97.
For more on that, let’s head over to…
THE WATERCOOLER
THIS WEEK IN THE MCU
X-Men ‘97 debuted the first four episodes of season 2 at the Tribeca Film Festival yesterday, and lifted the social media and review embargoes for those episodes immediately afterwards, despite the release date still being several weeks away. The second season is sitting at a cool 100% right now on Rotten Tomatoes. You can read my own review here. You can get a preview of Robby and Kyle’s thoughts here.
At Tribeca, Marvel’s Head of Television, Streaming, and Animation Brad Winderbaum confirmed that two more seasons (at least) of the show are in various stages of development.
After much speculation, Sony finally revealed a brief new teaser for Spider-Man: Brand New Day featuring Tom Holland and confirming that tickets will go on sale Wednesday, June 17th. The expectation is that the long-rumored second trailer will be released that day, as well.
It's a BRAND NEW DAY for Peter Parker. Fighting crime full-time as Spider-Man in a world that doesn’t remember him—and the pressure of seeing his old friends move on without him—sparks a change in Peter he may not have the power to control. But that transformation might also be the only thing that can stop a shocking new threat to the city and those he loves - a powerful villain no one can even see.
The world may have forgotten Peter Parker, but he hasn’t forgotten them.
Brad Winderbaum also offered an update on the second season of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man season 2 at Tribeca. Winderbaum said the season is complete but does not yet have a specific release date.
BEYOND THE MULTIVERSE

Matt Reeves took to social media last week to confirm that filming for The Batman: Part II has begun! For more on that news and everything else DC-related, check out The Sons of Gunn podcast, part of the Friends From Work Podcast Network.
TRUE BELIEVERS RUMOR OF THE WEEK
I am using this space today not to tease you with yet another rumor about an upcoming MCU project, but to share a public service announcement about some spoilers making the rounds. There are stolen images and videos spreading online from both Spider-Man: Brand New Day and Avengers: Doomsday. So please be careful out there!
